Destination Weddings Feature on The Honeymoonist

by

Beautiful and magical Amorgos!

My friend and fellow blogger, Susan Moynihan from the Honeymoonist, featured a little hidden gem of a Greek resort we visited last year.  The island of Amorgos and the Aegialis Hotel & Spa.  I got to share some of the fun activities and sites to see while on the island.  This location is perfect for a low key destination wedding or a quiet low key honeymoon.  You can see the full post here.

Our very own Tracie Zody and Marie Gilman were interviewed in the latest issue of Columbus Bride magazine.  Their topic – “25 Reason’s To Let The Pros Plan Your Wedding”.  This is always a favorite topic for us around the studio, so needless to say, there was no shortage of ideas to share!

One of our favorite reasons we advocate for our clients is the amount of time they save by having us on board as their planner.  With busy lives and hectic work schedules, researching your wedding vendors can be a full time job!

Save time. Zody says she attends a constant stream of networking events where she mingles with bakers, florists and caterers in venues all across town. The bridal couple simply doesn’t have time to replicate that level of experience.

If you don’t have a copy of the magazine yet – check out the online version here.

Engagement Party Planning Tips

by

We love a cute engagement party, but we also know, that sometimes it can be a little confusing trying to plan a party before your wedding. So here are some of our favorite engagement party planning tips from us to you!

1. Keep it simple. It is easy to get lost in the details, but for this party less is more. Assign end time to the party, no need for too many games, because people are coming to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in your life with you!

2. Keep it small and intimate. This time is for you to celebrate with the people that know you best. Try and steer clear of a pre-wedding, wedding. With that being said…

3. Make sure the people that are invited to your party are also invited to your wedding.

4. Let your wedding inspire the colors, but no need to mimic them. If you have blush pink color in your wedding, have fun and pick a bright pink for your party!

5. Have fun! This is a celebration of your relationship. People are excited to share in this with you.
